Ask Dr. Lisenby: “What should I expect during my initial consultation?”
May 7th, 2012
Great question! Your initial consultation with Dr. Lisenby will give you the opportunity to meet our team, learn more about orthodontics, receive a complete initial exam, and find out which treatment options will best meet your needs. During your initial consultation, we will:
Review your dental and medical history forms
Provide a complete oral exam, with X-rays, to determine whether treatment is necessary
Help you create a customized treatment plan
Discuss all financial information, insurance options, and payment plans
During your initial consultation, you’ll probably also have a lot of questions. Dr. Lisenby wants you to be prepared for your appointment and feel in charge of your orthodontic treatment decisions. We will be glad to answer any questions you may have, and we will provide all of the information that you need to determine which treatment is right for you.
We invite you to schedule your initial visit and let Dr. Lisenby help you find your most perfect smile!

Straight talk with Dr. Lisenby
April 23rd, 2012

We’ve had patients ask us why Dr. Lisenby works so hard to give our patients straight teeth using Invisalign. Of course it’s nice to have a smile full of evenly aligned teeth, but did you know that straightening your teeth can keep them healthier? Straight teeth lead to better oral hygiene, increasing your chances of keeping your own natural teeth for a lifetime.
Straight teeth, Dr. Lisenby will tell you, are less prone to decay, because they collect less plaque—the sticky colorless substance that forms on our teeth and leads to tooth decay; and they are easier to keep clean!
If you’re wondering whether your teeth might cause problems because they are out of alignment, please contact our Macon orthodontic office today to schedule your complimentary consultation. We look forward to meeting you and your family and helping you achieve a beautiful smile.
